Organisation of the research department

The research politics of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne is defined by the Scientific Council of the University and applied by the Research Department.

The Scientific Council counts 40 members and is consulted on a monthly basis on the research programmes that have been suggested by the various University elements, on how to split the research funding, on the required qualifications for teacher and researcher positions or even on the possibilities to welcome foreign researchers and on congress invitations. The Council is the link between education and research in doctoral schools as members make the final decision when it comes to split allocations, shared tutoring. Accreditation requests are voted by a limited Science Council.

Located within the central services of the Villa douce, the Research Department provides teachers and researchers with support, advice and management with procedures and relationships with territorial collectivities, the Ministry, large research organisations, helping with answers to bids, creation and management of cases. It is also in charge of the doctoral training with the doctoral schools.
