Study French in France at CIEF

The International Center for French studies (CIEF)

The International Center for French studies (CIEF) is part of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA), one of Europe's oldest universities. Its main mission is to provide linguistic, cultural and methodological preparation for non-French-speaking students so that they can be integrated into the educational programmes offered by the various departments (faculties, institutes, schools) of the University.

Every year, the CIEF welcomes more than 300 students of all nationalities, from all five continents and at all levels. It offers a wide range of courses, from beginners to advanced levels, enabling students to progress at their own pace. The CIEF also offers personalised support to students and researchers involved in various exchange programmes (ERASMUS, doctoral and post-doctoral students, free-movers).

Its dynamic and available teacher-trainers welcome students wishing to undertake a Master 1 or 2 work placement in the fields concerned. Located on the university campus, as part of the Maison des Langues, the CIEF provides students with an efficient Language Resource Centre. This enables students not only to work independently, but also to rub shoulders with French students and, if they wish, to study other languages.
