The department coordinates the University’s IT resources. It is responsible for all equipment, hardware and software operating within the University’s IT structure. It provides connections to general networks and service to personnel and students: message service, professional or information Web services, and management applications. This infrastructure is organised so as to provide top level information security. In terms of equipment, the CRI runs the networks as far as each connection socket. On each site, technical correspondents take over.
This is a common University department supported by a Council composed of 12 members elected every 4 years by the University Administration Council.

Missions:

• Systems: manage servers and central systems required for the proper operation of its applications and networks.
• Manage the whole University network on the 5 sites in Reims as well as all remote sites: Charleville, Troyes and Châlons. This equipment provides access to Renater and the interconnection between the various sites and buildings of the University. The Telemus network installed by the Regional Council completes the system in order to provide connections to all University sites in the Champagne Ardenne Region.
• Ensure the proper operation of applications required by the whole University: applications, student and personnel portals, message and download services.
• Provide landline phone networks for all Reims sites and mobile phone networks for the whole University.
