Coronavirus (COVID-19) INFORMATION

On 11 March at 5:45 p.m., we were informed of a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our establishment (tested positive). This is a student who has not visited a university site since 5 March. The student is well and is on the mend. He was quarantined for fourteen days.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, the university immediately contacted the Regional Health Agency and is currently following its recommendations. No new measure has been implemented so far following this case, as the establishment has taken numerous precautionary measures. We remind you that contamination from objects and equipment is low and limited in time and the risk of contamination from a carrier of the virus with no symptoms remains very limited.

A dedicated page on the university's website lists the various measures taken by the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, including its priority to protect its students and staff and prevent the spread of the virus. (click here).

We also ask you to be vigilant and apply protective measures:

  • Wash your hands very regularly.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or into a tissue.
  • Greet without shaking hands and avoid hugging
  • Use disposable tissues.

In case of flu-like symptoms (high temperature, feverishness, cough, body aches, unusual tiredness), we would ask you to:

  • Go home immediately if you are on a University site
  • contact emergency medical services (Tel. 15) and stay at home
  • complete the attached information sheet and return it to the address signalement-coronavirus@univ-reims.fr

Faced with this exceptional situation, we know that we can count on the commitment and understanding of each and every one of you and remain at your disposal.
