COSEFEX Study - Are social cognition and executive processes indicators of vulnerability to alcohol use disorders?

As part of the COSEFEX study (Are social cognition and executive processes indicators of vulnerability to alcohol use disorders?), associating the University Hospital of Reims and the University of Reims Champagne Ardenne, a recruitment campaign is under way.

This study aims to understand the risk factors contributing to the development and maintenance of alcohol use disorder.

For this, it is necessary to compare patients with an alcohol use disorder to healthy subjects, as well as to first degree relatives of patients with an alcohol use disorder.

The study will be conducted with:

  • 40 patients with an alcohol use disorder.
  • 70 relatives of patients with alcohol use disorder (first degree family members: father, siblings).
  • 110 healthy volunteers aged between 18 and 60, without alcohol use disorder and without any other psychoactive substance use disorder.
