FARE takes part in the second meeting of the LignoCOST network in Portugal

The LignoCOST network meeting (CA17128) took place in Peso de Régua from 12 to 14 November.

It's in the wine region of the Douro Valley, classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, that FARE is participating for the second time in working groups on the valorisation of lignin organised by the European network LignoCOST.

During this event, FARE was represented by Brigitte Chabbert, Véronique Aguié-Béghin and Sofiene Abdellaoui, who joined working groups made up of researchers from all over Europe and working on the theme of "lignin". These focus groups aim to share and centralise knowledge on the characterisation and the valorisation of lignins, which represent the most abundant renewable source of aromatic polymers on Earth. This event is also an opportunity for FARE to form new partnerships for its future projects.
