Nadège Vezinat, Fondation des Sciences Sociales Prize Winner

Nadège Vezinat is a sociologist, lecturer at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and a member of the REGARDS laboratory and the Centre Maurice Halbwachs.

Her research deals with reconfigurations of the State and the organisation of public services. The main focus of her reflections has been the relationship between public services and professional groups (for example financial advisers at the French post office), systems (such as training via apprenticeship) and organisations (public companies, government agencies, multi-disciplinary care homes).

A sociologist focusing on work and professions, her thesis explored the French post office and its financial advisers, taking a socio-historical approach. She is currently studying multi-disciplinary care homes, coordinated structures that are involved in a reorganisation of the overall healthcare offer and, more broadly, the healthcare system.

Her publications include "Les métamorphoses de la Poste. Professionnalisation des conseillers financiers (1953-2010)” [The metamorphoses of La Poste: Professionalisation of Financial Advisers] (PUF, 2012), " L’État recomposé" [The reconfigured State] (led by Patrick Le Galès) (PUF, 2014) and more recently "Sociologie des groupes professionnels" [Sociology of Professional Groups] (Armand Colin, 2016).
