The Department is in charge of both administrative and financial management of Research.

Research administration

• Organisation of the Science Council, monitoring and application of decisions
• Coordination and monitoring of the Research division of the 4-year Contract, in relation with the Ministry of Research and the large research organisations CNRS, INRA, INSERM, CEA. Contract procedures for new projects.
• Relations with local and regional collectivities for new projects: Preparation and management of research projects in the 2000-2006 State/Region Contract and in annual subsidy campaigns with these partners (Regions, Department, City, Foundations), and support for scientific events.
• Coordination of the two doctoral schools.
• Centralisation and release of information to the University’s research units.

Research Financial management

• financial monitoring of the Research division in the Contract (4-year, BQR…)
• financial monitoring of the State/Region Contract and other public funds allocated to University projects (ANR…)
• financial management of PhD and post-PhD grants
