Audrey Machinet, world archery champion

Audrey Machinet, 2nd-year Bachelor at UFR Sciences Exactes et Naturelles, took first place at the field archery world championships held from 3 to 9 October in Yankton, USA.

Now aged 20, she began to practise archery at the age of 6. In 2013, she started to compete, with a series of 28 entries in various French championship events.

In 2015, she won 2 gold medals (indoor and beursault), as well as another gold medal in 2016 (field) and a bronze (federal). In 2019, she also won a bronze medal (field). Next came a silver field medal in 2021 and a gold medal in 2022. In the same year, she won an indoor bronze medal at Nîmes.

In October 2022, she was declared mixed doubles field archery champion with Antoine Balanant in the junior classic category.

Individually, she finished 5th of 12.
