FARE welcomes new thermal analysis equipment

The enrichment laboratory activities with the arrival of Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and a rheometer.

More specifically, a DSC25 and a DTG650 from TA-Instrument's Discovery series as well as a HAAKE MARS parallel plate rheometer from Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The Discovery DSC25 has a 54-position autosampler and is equipped with a chiller that can drop to -90° C. The Discovery DTG650 is a TGA system with horizontal configuration and featuring DSC. It is also equipped with a 30-position autosampler.

The HAAKE MARS (Modular Advanced Rheometer System) rheometer is very precise (nano-torque performance for sensitive samples) thanks to a one-piece frame while remaining easy to handle.

These devices allow the physical and physico-chemical properties of materials (glass transition, melting point, loss of mass, viscosity in the molten state, viscoelasticity, etc.) to be measured.

All of this equipment was funded by CPER Grand-Est.
