Presentation

The Chief Accountant is a civil servant appointed upon proposal from the University President by joint decree from the National Education Minister and the Budget Minister.

• He or she is in charge of :
  • collecting incoming fees
  • paying out expenses
  • looking after funds and values of the establishment
  • handling funds and accounts
  • keeping records of accounting documents
  • general accounting
• performs the duties of Chief Accountant of the establishment: he or she manages the budget and keeps a permanent record of all assets of the establishment.
• prepares the financial report and presents it to the Administration Council.
• takes part in the Administration Council and various bodies, with an advisory position.
  

The Chief Accountant is directly under the authority of the French “Cour des comptes”.
