On Wednesday 5 February 2020, the annual meeting of French organisation partners of EFSA took place in Paris.

This meeting was an opportunity to recall legal obligations, take stock of the various grant programmes offered by EFSA, the types of calls funded and assess the success of calls in France. During this meeting, a provisional table of calls was also presented (here).

EFSA drew attention to the existence of the ECAS tool on the European Commission portal, where several calls are recorded. Great Britain can still be part of the projects during the transition period, but thereafter British partners will have to either withdraw from the projects or become a subcontractor. Projects where the leader is a British entity must be completed before the transition period. Otherwise, the expenses must be borne by the British partner.

In addition to these measures, the meeting was also the opportunity to announce the programming of the RARA event which will take place on 2 December in Milan. This event will be an opportunity for participants to their exchange research ideas and identify potential partners.
